復旦大學數學科學學院教授、上海市曙光學者、博士生導師,主要研究方向:非線性偏微分方程、可積系統、反散射理論、正交多項式和隨機矩陣理論。主持國家自然科學基金、上海曙光計劃等多項研究課題。在《Adv. Math. 》 《Comm. Math. Phys. 》《SIAM J. Math. Anal.》《J. Lond. Math. Soc.》《Math. Z》《Eur. J. Appl. Math.》《J. Differ. Equ.》等國際重要期刊發表論文100余篇。應邀訪問美國密蘇里大學、日本京都大學等。曾獲教育部自然科學二等獎、上海市自然科學二等獎、復旦大學谷超豪數學獎。
講座簡介:
We consider the Cauchy problem for the defocusing modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation with non-zero boundary conditions, which can be characterized by a Riemann-Hilbert problem through the inverse scattering transform. Using the dbar-generalization of the Deift-Zhou nonlinear steepest descent approach, combined with a double scaling limit technique, we obtain the long-time asymptotics of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the defocusing mKdV equation in the transition region. The asymptotics can be expressed in terms of the solution of the second Painleve transcendent.
